LUKE MARSDEN
Engineer / Producer / Mixer

Luke Marsden is a recording engineer, music producer and mixing engineer.
Primarily based out of his green room studio space in Brighton, he works with an array of artists on a broad range of music - from raw organic performances to contemporary electronic productions.
His approach to music creation is one that centres around emotive performances, high quality output and an immense attention to detail - putting the art above all else.

"I love working with artists that aren’t afraid to bend the lines around their genres - pushing to experiment with ideas and notions that redefine modern production ideals, whilst simultaneously harking back to a more organic and authentic way of making music.
Collaboration and shared creative experience are always at the forefront - Focussing on capturing moments in time, not programming the perfect outcome.
I don’t care for background music, or functional noise - Every track I work on, I want to feel the emotion, whether that makes me was to dance or cry."

Having assisted renowned producer / mixer Lexxx at The Barn Studio, Luke has worked on many highly acclaimed projects, including but not limited to music from Obongjayar, Lapsley, Jai Paul and The Range.

The green room is a bespoke built writing, production and mix room - designed to be an inspiring and comfortable space to create in.

The room itself is acoustically treated to achieve a very neutral speaker response, which also lends itself as a great space to record isolated vocals and intimate acoustic instruments in great detail.

It is equipped with a great selection of analogue synths, guitars, pedals, mics and plenty of other toys to explore.
For projects that desire full analogue mixing, a larger tracking space, more vintage mics and equipment - an alternative studio is available.
